The Journal of Sexual Aggression provides an international and interdisciplinary forum for the dissemination of research findings and the development of theory, policy and practice regarding sexual aggression in all its forms. The scope of the Journal extends to the expression of sexual aggression across childhood and adulthood, with regard to abusers, victims and survivors, irrespective of gender, culture and sexual preference.
The Editor welcomes the opportunity to consider papers which examine the nature and impact of sexual aggression, as well as its prevention and treatment. Priority is afforded to articles containing original material and which are likely to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field. As such, several types of contribution are welcomed:
Research and conceptual developments:papers reporting the findings of empirical research or the development of theory/ conceptual models (up to 6,000 words);

Reviews:literature/ policy reviews or commentaries focusing upon specific issues of relevance (up to 6,000 words);

Practice:articles presenting clinical practice or programme descriptions (usually between 2,000 and 4,000 words)

Debate:brief responses to articles which have appeared in previous issues of the Journal (between 750 and 1,500 words).
A joint publication by NOTA and Taylor & Francis Journals, the Journal is edited by Sarah Brown from Coventry University. Sarah has extensive experience of research, training and teaching in the area and has published and contributed to a range of material in the field of sexual aggression, the treatment of sex offenders, grooming and public attitudes.

All submissions should be written in a clear and accessible style, which avoids discriminatory language. All submissions should be original. If elements of any contribution overlap with material already published or being submitted by the author elsewhere, the author should make this clear upon submission.
The membership of the Editorial Board is broad based, comprising practitioners and academics from the UK and North America. The Board advises on editorial policy and ensures the quality of material published.
