Thank you for attending the Scotland 2024 Conference
Thank you for attending the NOTA Scotland Conference 2024 in early September. We trust you found the event both insightful and engaging. On day one Professor Anthony Beech’s keynote addressed significant topics within criminological psychology, including the evaluation of treatments and risk measures for individuals who have committed sexual offences, as well as forensic neuroscience. The expert panel discussion, featuring Dr. Jon Patrick, Kirsty Fraser, Stuart Allardyce, and Dr. Laurence Tuddenham, generated stimulating dialogue amongst attendees and focussed upon the differing intervention approaches for working with sexually harmful behaviour.
On the second day, keynote speaker Jonny Hunt examined the critical issue of the impact of pornography and social media on children, prompting discussions around the possibility of restricting smartphone ownership for those under the age of 16 and how to supportively engage young people with sexual citizenship. The expert panel discussion for the day included David Russel, David Orr, Dr. Stephanie Hill and Amanda Jordan, and focussed upon sexual harm within the family unit and the differing ways in which we can work with those involved.
We appreciate your participation and hope that the sessions inspired meaningful reflection and future ideas. We kindly invite you to submit your evaluation form by scanning the QR code or by visiting the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M7MKFSP.
